The Tragic Loss of Bill Kinsey

A Tragic Loss for the Mill Creek Family and the Community

On March 23, longtime Mill Creek Rifle Club member and current Treasurer Bill Kinsey passed from a sudden heart attack.

Bill was known at Mill Creek for his consistent willingness to serve to make our club a better organization. Bill competed in IPSC competitions and benchrest target shooting. In addition to serving as club treasurer since 2021, Bill was also Mill Creek Safety Director from December 2008 to mid 2018. Bill was a world-renowned researcher and teacher at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he specialized in physiology of human reproduction.

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, with services following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that remembrances be made in the form of a donation to the Esophageal Cancer Action Network. Bill's eldest daughter, Sara Wells, was taken by the disease.
