Once again Mill Creek Rifle Club will host a shooting class this spring to introduce members to long range rifle.
If you have ever wanted to get into high power rifle, PRS, F class, AR tactical, mid range, vintage sniper, Swiss rifle competition or just want to become more familiar with your AR, this is the class to get you started. In fact, all rifles are welcome.
This is an introductory class and no previous shooting skills are required. This class will teach you rifle safety, the ins and outs of the AR rifle, shooting positions, scope options, wind reading, basic reloading, and use of the shot marker electronic scoring system. These skills will prepare you to be able to move back to shooting at 600 yards with confidence.
Please set aside March 29 at noon for a 45 minute classroom introduction, followed by obtaining zeros if needed at 25 yards and then moving out to 200 yards for prone slow and rapid fire, sitting and standing off hand.
Please bring a shooting mat if you have one (if not, there will be some available to share) and an Ipad or tablet. Virtually any rifle can be used such as an AR-15 with or without a scope, M1 Garand, M1 carbine, 1903, 1903 A3 with a sling or bipod and 50 rounds of ammunition.
Cost of the class will be $10.
