Notice of Annual Meeting, Expenditure Review, Budget Presentation and Elections
The Mill Creek Rifle Club Annual Membership Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., March 1, 2022, in the Mill Creek Clubhouse.
All members are invited to conduct the following business:
- Review a presentation of 2021 club expenditures by Treasurer Bill Kinsey.
- Vote to approve the 2022 annual club budget as recommended by vote of the Board of Directors at its February 2022 monthly meeting.
- Hold elections for all four annually elected officers and four of the seven biannually elected directors. Those positions will include:
- President. The President's responsibilities include conducting all membership, Board, annual and special meetings, and assigning tasks to other Board members, including coordination of such tasks as needed to manage the affairs of the Club. The President or his designate shall also be the Club's official spokesperson to all entities outside the Club.
- Vice President. The Vice President assumes the responsibilities of the President in his absence, and may also assume the authorities of the President in cases of extended absence. In addition, the Vice President is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and obtaining Board approval for all scheduled range events, except those on the Law Enforcement Range. This duty includes preparing and maintaining a current schedule to be published on the club website.
- Treasurer. The Treasurer is responsible for securing and maintaining Club banking arrangements, paying authorized Club expenses, maintaining and advising the Board on current bank balances, preparing and maintaining a Club statement showing budget and year-to-date expenditures, preparing and filing tax returns and related financial reports, and securing Club insurance. The Treasurer also maintains all Club affiliations as determined by the Board.
- Range Officer. The Range Officer is responsible for executing and maintaining contracts for use of the Law Enforcement Range consistent with arrangements determined by the Board. This task includes overseeing range scheduling by the various Law Enforcement Agencies under contract, billing those agencies for range use, providing copies of those bills to the Secretary, and maintaining a current posted schedule of Law Enforcement Range use.
- Maintenance director. This position is responsible for hiring and supervising routine maintenance and repair of grounds, buildings, and facilities.
- Legislative director. This director guides the club in legislative matters, advising the board and membership and recommending club measures.
- Technology director. This position is responsible for maintaining technologies owned and used by the club, evaluating technological upgrades or additions, obtaining bids, and evaluating technology vendors’ work.
- Safety director. This position updates, maintains, and posts club range rules, prepares and posts safety signs, and conducts other measures to ensure a safe environment for members and guests. The safety director sees that incidents are investigated.
Note: The club secretary is an appointed, paid position, not subject to election by the membership.
A nominating committee will receive all nominations. Nominations must be received by the nominating committee no later than 6:30 p.m. February 21, 2022.
